MAINTENANCE

Pre-planned maintenance is an excellent way of  making sure your refrigeration and air conditioning equipment operates to its full potential ensuring the system is as effective and energy efficient as possible helping to increase the plants useful operational life.

With the introduction of the "climate change levy" and ever increasing energy bills it makes sound financial sense to ensure equipment operates as efficiently as possible, because this reduces the system power consumption which in turn reduces both carbon emissions and also the system running cost.

Energy surveys can be carried out to establish how efficiently your refrigeration or air conditioning systems are performing and where necessary provide recommendations to improve efficiency.

We offer a 24-hour call out facility for customers who have a maintenance contract in place to ensure your valuable equipment or produce is protected and also that insurance and warranty obligations are met.

Refrigerant leak checks are now mandatory on many air conditioning and refrigeration systems to make sure your system is not venting refrigerant into the atmosphere unnecessarily, so it is a good idea for leak checks to form part of the maintenance regime.

F-Gas Regulations.
(EN 842/2006)

F-gas Regulations have now come into force. The main objectives of the regulations are to reduce emissions of flourinated greenhouse gases used as refrigerants through better containment and leakage prevention.

What are your Legal Responsibilities?

As an operator of air conditioning, refrigeration or heat pump equipment which contain HFC's you are now legally required to maintain records covering the maintenance of equipment and any refrigerant added to or reclaimed from your systems.

How can TVR Ltd help?

We can help by providing competitively priced maintenance contracts for your equipment, ensuring suitably qualified personnel provide the necessary leak testing and record keeping to meet your F-gas legal responsibilities.

TVR Ltd is a REFCOM registered company which is a legal requirement for all companies dealing with the handling of refrigerants.

Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS).

(EN 2037/2000)

This regulation is in place to reduce the emissions of ODS by legally requiring systems containing more than 3 Kg of refrigerant to have an annual leak check by competent personnel. It will also oversee the phasing out of HCFC refrigerants, namely R22. These refrigerants will no longer be available in virgin form for maintenance or repairs from the end of December 2009.

Energy Performance Certificates (EPC).

Air conditioning systems >12Kw capacity (individually or collectively) now require an EPC by law. TVR Ltd are accredited Energy Assessors and can carry out on your behalf energy assessments which lead to certification, lodgement and recommendations for efficiency improvements which will save you money.

Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) Scheme.

The ECA scheme allows businesses to offset the full capital cost of certain energy efficient installations against their tax liabilities in the first financial year. To take advantage of the scheme the equipment used must be on the government ECA equipment list.

Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHP).

We can supply and install GSHP and Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) to provide both space heating and hot water for domestic and commercial premises.
